Safety and Security crime prevention tip:
As warmer weather approaches, be aware of how you might be able to prevent bicycle theft on campus:

• Get a U-lock and use it. Get into the habit of always locking your bike, even if you're locking it to itself (locking the frame to the wheel).
• Place the U-lock through the frame, not just the wheel. Otherwise, someone could walk off with the frame and leave you with your tire.
• Don't park on traffic signs overnight as determined criminals can take the sign off the top of the pole and lift your bike up over the pole.
• Record the make, model and serial number of your bike and keep it in a safe place.
